Peracetic acid is a fungicide that has been attracting new attention in the food industry.
Since its approval was registered by the US FDA in 1986, it has been used for cleaning artificial dialysis machines and endoscopes in Japan as well.
Since 2016, it has been approved for use in food surface sterilization and is spreading rapidly.
