Filter gravel
Filter gravel is used as a support material for granular filter media such as filter sand and anthracite, which are the media that actually perform filtration. The filter gravel not only prevents the filter media from flowing out to the lower water collecting device when passing water, but also plays an important role in evenly distributing the wash water flowing into the filter pond during backwashing. By sequentially stratifying 3 to 6 types of filter gravel with a large particle size, it prevents drift and non-landing of filtration.

Example of filtered gravel stratification
The size and height of the filtered gravel are selected according to the upper filter material and the lower water collection method.
